Supporting people with washing and dressing is always a challenge for health and social care professionals. During the last five years, we have noticed an increase in the number of people choosing to sleep in their rise and recliner chairs...

Users’ fears

Whilst, clinically, we may feel sleeping in chairs is inappropriate in terms of managing risk of pressure, increased lymphatic pinge points, increased breathing problems, increased risk of lymphedema and difficulty with managing hygiene and continence, people are declining to accept profiling beds.
