This national role will support the Clinical Consultant - Patient Handling Lead to deliver patient handling education programs and injury reduction outcome solutions. The education provided includes the MOVE Caregiver Injury Reduction program, Ergocoach modules and CPD accredited courses.  
This role will collaborate closely with the UK Sales, Rentals, and Service teams, as well as Marketing, Commercial Business Development UK and Group Clinical Services to promote and deliver Insight assessments and MOVE programs to Arjo’s customers. 

The skills you will need

  • Deliver safe patient handling education programs to clinical consultancy customers
  • Work cross functionally to deliver caregiver injury reduction outcome solutions to our customers
  • Manage the end to end order and sales process for the clinical consultancy education programs
  • Work with Arjo internal stakeholders to help respond to all appropriate and potential tenders in the UK
  • Provide a mentoring role for MOVE/Ergocoaches  to assist in the development of cultural change towards safety and patient care
  • Work with care facilities to solve issues related to staff injuries, working efficiencies and patient quality of care
  • Be a subject matter specialist for safe patient handling
  • Identify potential customers who would benefit from an Insight assessment, MOVE programs and CPD accredited courses
  • Undertake relevant and frequent audits using standardised Insight assessment tools to meet the customer objectives
  • Present Insight assessment reports, findings and recommendations to the customers
  • Deliver clinical application patient handling education for internal stakeholders
  • Develop expertise in assessment and using ergonomic aids to reduce injuries among healthcare staff
  • Analyse incident/accident/sick leave information and provide recommendations to assist the customer facility

The successful candidate will have the following skills/qualifications:

  • A formal qualification in the field of Nursing, Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy or equivalent
  • Patient handling experience as a moving and handling/manual handling/ back care advisor in the NHS is essential.
  • Certified education qualification in healthcare manual handling management that provides national recognition to the holder’s capabilities. The course components to be designed for Back Care, Manual Handling, Moving and Handling Advisors who are responsible for assessing and practically mitigating the risks involved in patient handling within a healthcare organisation
  • Member of National Back Exchange
  • Knowledge and practical experience of initiating and promoting change management projects within a healthcare sector
  • Experience in facilitating  formal presentations
  • The ability to understand the principles of providing value based solutions, to promote clinical benefits, workflow efficiencies and financial optimisation to a healthcare facility
  • Have an understanding of the selling process is desirable
  • Experience within a healthcare environment
  • Must be able to work with customers confidently for assessments, education and consultations
  • Have the ability to support the customer need
  • Knowledge and understanding of the healthcare structure in the UK, including ICS’s, ICB’s, health boards, NHS, LTC and the private hospital market sectors
  • Fluent in verbal and written English and have ability for European travel 20-40 days per year
  • Computer literate including MS Office, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
