Remembering Maggie Williams

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Maggie Williams, a founder of the National Back Exchange.

An Honorary Member of NBE, Maggie was an inspiration to our members over many years. Remembering Maggie, NBE Chair Sarah Thornton said:

“Maggie was a remarkable pioneer in the field of moving and handling, whose passion, vision, and tireless dedication laid the foundations for what NBE has become today.

Her work influenced countless practitioners, educators, and policy makers, and her legacy continues to shape the standards and values we uphold today.

We are deeply grateful for her immense contribution and are proud to carry forward the mission she so passionately began.

Our thoughts are with her family, friends, and all who knew her.”
