NBE Webinar Series: Role of Physio and the Management of Frail Patients

Registration is now open for the next NBE webinar in our 2023 series!

This virtual event will begin on Thursday 28th September at 11:00am with a presentation on the Role of Physio and the Management of Frail Patients and is anticipated to run for about 1 hour including a Q & A session.

The webinar will give an insight into the role of a Physiotherapist working with the elderly population. This will include patients who fall, the management of these patients, and treatment/service options. The session will touch on avoiding hospital admissions and how community services are evolving in support of the NHS Long-Term Plan.

I started my career in the NHS 20 years ago as a physiotherapy assistant. I went on to the University of Salford to study and graduated in 2010. I carried out core rotations as a band 5 in south Manchester before working in elderly rehab in Intermediate Care. I relocated to Lancaster and worked in the Stroke unit for three years before taking the step into education. I have been a lecturer in Physiotherapy for 2 years at the University of Central Lancashire.
