Kathryn is an Occupational Therapist and a Moving and Handling Advisor and Practitioner with Cheshire West and Chester Council. She has over 15 years of experience working with adults and children across several local authorities nationwide.

In her role as a Moving and Handling Advisor, Kathryn focusses on promoting best practice in moving and handling across health, social care, and external providers. This includes delivering training to health and social care professionals, care agencies, and providing consultancy to Occupational Therapists on complex cases. Kathryn also reviews and advises on hospital discharge recommendations to ensure safe and effective transitions.

Currently, Kathryn leads a small ‘Right-Size Care’ team who review care packages to ensure they are proportionate and tailored to individual needs. Kathryn is passionate about advocating for this approach, as it delivers significant benefits for both clients and the wider system.
