I am a Health and Safety and Manual Handling Manager with over 30 years’ experience in a busy acute trust. Throughout my career, I have led trust-wide improvements in manual handling culture, helped reduce staff injury rates and supported thousands of colleagues to work safely, confidently and compassionately. My experience spans working with senior leaders and frontline teams to turn complex manual handling challenges into practical, evidence-based solutions.
I am passionate about improving manual handling skills, supporting healthier staff and promoting individualised care. With a collaborative approach grounded in reliability and integrity, I am committed to strengthening connections between members, regional groups and the National Back Exchange (NBE), ensuring members’ voices are heard and good practice is shared across the UK.
