Within ECG we have four divisions Training, Clinical Services, Professional Support and MakeWell.

The Position:

Devise, deliver and review provision of a comprehensive M&H training package for our client needs; adapting and updating training content to meet differing client requirements.

Continually evaluate M&H training events to ensure they are a) delivered to the appropriate standard b) achieve the stated learning objectives and c) comply with legislation and the requirements of Risk Management Standards.

At the request of clients, work face to face with patients as an autonomous clinician, to advise staff and managers with regards the safer handling of patients

As the subject matter expert, attend relevant customer meetings/ committees/ panels to discuss moving and handling requirements.

Work with the senior management team to develop moving and handling opportunities

Mentor and develop the skills of existing trainers in the field of moving and handling.

Develop and evaluate ECG’s procedures, protocols, guidelines and quality standards in relation to M&H; revising and updating when appropriate.

Assist and advise with the undertaking of workplace complex / specialist M&H risk assessments / ergonomic advice.

Develop and deliver specialist subjects such as Moving and Handling of Bariatric Patients and Train the Trainer courses and to other specialist healthcare professionals such as dental staff, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, paramedics.

Assist and deliver mandatory training to ECG staff and to support/ problem solve any moving and handling problems that affect their working practice.

To maintain and develop own professional knowledge and awareness.

Accurate completion and prompt submission back to ECG of all relevant course documentation.

To promote ECG’s products and services.

To undertake any other such duties or general tasks and hours of work as may reasonably be required and any other responsibilities, which may from time to time, be delegated by your manager.

Provide training in additional subjects such as resuscitation and ECG training.

The Applicant:

Highly developed communication skills with the ability to address complex and sensitive issues in an appropriate manner.

Excellent presentation skills with the ability to facilitate group training or 1:1 coaching
Knowledge of relevant M&H related health and safety regulations.
Able to produce quality written professional reports.
Be proactive with a ‘can do’ attitude.
Good time keeping.
Attention to detail.
Always promote a positive and professional image by acting in a courteous manner.
Actively participate in own performance reviews.
You must be eligible to work in the UK and have applicable documentation to support, this can include right to work share codes.
