I am Moving & Handling Team Manager for Kirklees Council. The Team provides a specialist assessment, advisory and training service within adult services, largely to the independent sector.

My interest in moving and handling started back in 1994 when I started working in adult social care and has grown from there. I have attended Loughborough University twice to gain a PGCert in Management of Manual Handling and an MSc in Ergonomics and Human Factors. 

Current role(s) and affiliations: I am a member of Yorkshire Back Exchange, serving on the Committee twice, NBE Product Review Group, Loughborough Alumni Research Forum and a Graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors. I am also an Advanced Member of NBE.
