Public Relations Officer

MURPHY-150   NBE NATIONAL PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER

Jaclyn Murphy

I graduated as an Occupational Therapist in 2005 from Glasgow Caledonian University and worked as an community OT within Renfrewshire Council Social Services for 9 years specialising in equiment, adaptations and manual handling.  This enabled me to work with a variety of different professions in order to provide the best solutions for patients and was a very rewarding experience.

In 2014, I joined the world of sales and in my current role I am a Patient Handling Specialist.  I work with manual handling teams across the country and help provide equipment and solutions to both health and social care with the goal of improving patient care.

I have been a member of the Scottish Manual Handling Forum for the past 10 years, National Back Exchange for 5 years as well as the Yorkshire and Lancashire and Greater Manchester Groups.

I am excited to have been elected as Public Relations Officer and look forward to working with the committee to grow and drive the organisation forward.
