I commenced my nurse training in 1991 at Stoke Mandeville Hospital and qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1994. From 1994-2008 i gained experience in haematology,acute medical, A & E, nursing homes and community hospitals. I have worked for both the NHS and private organisations in England and Scotland.

In 2008 I moved from Scotland back down to England and worked as a Learning and development officer, specialising in moving and handling. this role involved devising and delivering training sessions, writing policies and completing complex assessments. In 2014 I commenced the role of moving and handling ccordinator in Oldham which I really enjoy and mainly involves patient assessments,risk assessments and delivering training.

I am a member of the Lancashire and Greater  Manchester Back Exchange Group and in January 2017 became deputy chair of the group.  I am pleased to have been elected as secretary and look forward to working in partnership with the committee to grow and drive the organisation forward.
