National Back Exchange » Registered Members

At an Extraordinary General Meeting of National Back Exchange in April 2005, the motion that the organisation should start developing different membership categories and that the first of these should be registered member was carried without one vote against.

This was the culmination of work started in May 2003, when the idea of recognition of members’ skills, knowledge and experience was first mooted. Registered Membership is already a year old but until now, only direct entry was available. Members without a relevant post-graduate qualification, (or equivalent), could not become Registered Members and the National Executive have worked hard to make this possible.

The structure, protocols and procedures are now in place for all members to apply for Registered Membership and all of the information you may require is available on this site.

National Back Exchange wants its members to have the recognition they deserve for the skills, knowledge and experience they possess which makes us the experts in this field. External bodies are asking for our opinions now as a matter of course-the number of people who are eligible for registered membership will prove to them that we are the right organisation to consult in the area of manual handling.
