I have a background in nursing which resulted in me stumbling into the field of manual handling in 1992. I maintained my links with the training aspects of the role until becoming a full time advisor in 1999 in a Birmingham acute hospital Trust.

Since that time I have undertaken the PG diploma at Loughborough and become more active within NBE. I have chaired my local group for the last three years and was thrilled to be nominated to serve on the Executive.

I live in the midlands with my wife, a doctor, and two dogs.
